EZ-MES: System requirements for internal hosting
Install EZ-MES on your company system
In case you opt to install EZ-MES on your own servers, this page will show you the
requirements for these server(s) and the required software licenses.
Server
For the server we recommend the following configuration:
- Operating System: Windows 2003 or Windows 2008
- Database: SQL Server 2005 or SQL Server 2008
- Dual Core Recommended especially if you are running the SQL server on Same Server.
- .NET 2.0 Installed
Currently EZ-MES is using Microsoft SQL Server, in case you would like to use MySQL,
let us know, we will be able to port the database to MySQL for a fee that is definitely
lower than the price of a Ms SQL Server license.
Charting Software
For the charting options EZ-MES uses R-Project (http://www.r-project.org/)
Please contact us for the files we normally use to install R. There is one tricky
part to get the DCOM to register properly for Web Application Usage:
- R-2.8.0-win32.exe , Execute First Main Installation
- R_Scilab_DCOM3.0-1B5.exe, DCOM Access to Web Server
- rscproxy_1.0-12.zip
- Download the rscproxy.dll copy the dll to the C:\Program Files\R\(D)COM Server\bin
EZ-MES runs using 2 Databases:
- One database is a standard database that Microsoft uses to save sessions in, this
database can be used for multiple applications on many servers.
- Database 2 will contain your application data.
Beside these points the installation is pretty standard. When we will get access
to the server(s) we will do the EZ-MES installation for free. When we have to support
the installation without getting access to the server, any hours above 4 will be
charged using our support rate.
